An image (from the Latin imago) is a visual representation, which manifests the visual appearance of a real or imaginary object. Although the term is usually understood as a synonym for visual representation, it is also applied as an extension for other types of perception, such as auditory, olfactory, tactile images, synesthesia, etc. The images that the person does not perceive but lives internally are called mental images, while those that visually represent an object through different techniques are designated as created images (or reproduced images). Some of them are drawing, design, painting, photography or video, among others.
